Welcome to VFWI

Since 2004, VoiceFlame Writers International (VFWI) has been connecting women through story. We hold writing workshops and retreats nationally and internationally, and sponsor trips where women travel to a foreign country to write and share with women of other cultures. We find that in the writing and sharing of their stories, women hear each other’s unique and authentic voices; they identify pieces of each story that resonates with their own; and they listen deeply to find the purpose to which their story calls them.

This type of shared experience breaks down cultural barriers and empowers women to see themselves for whom they truly are – intelligent, strong, resilient, capable and compassionate individuals who have the power to create the life they want to live. They leave VFWI workshops with greater self-awareness and feel inspired to turn their dreams into reality.
